Lack of common sense
Hi

I am an account holder with FNB and currently in Kenya. I make use of internet banking and by mistake, i blocked my profile after inputting the wrong pin.I contacted the online banking team and in less than 24 hrs, they gave a call and assisted me in changing my OTP details because they were sent to my S.A. cellphone number which is not active as i am currently away in Kenya. They performed very thorough security checks and eventually changed OTP destination to my email which i can access.

However, turns out that my card is not active and they asked me to call my branch for them to reactivate card. I called the Braamfontein branch and the lady who answered the phone refused to assist me saying that i have to appear in person for them to reactivate my card despite telling her that i am away in Kenya. I requested her to perform all security checks inorder to satisfy herself that i am the rightful account owner and she refused. She said i have to stop my business in Kenya, take a flight to Johannesburg, activate my card then return to Kenya to continue with my business here. Very silly way to reason.

Could i please get some assistance.

You can reach me on +***47.
