Lack of card security

I am very disappointed in a bank that i have been using for more than 10 years.

Yesterday i received an sms notification about R3999.00 being reserved for a purchase at www.groupon.co.za. Not knowing what this was about I then called the ***** line to report this. They immediately cancelled my card. Looking for further information on how could this have happened when i have all my cards with me, the person assisting me on the call had no answers.

I dont understand how such a big establishment can have such unacceptable loop holes in their security of our money. When i buy something online, I get a lot of security phases that i have to adhere to even if im the owner of the account, such as OTP. But someone who I dont know can get access to my money so easily.

This is unacceptable, and it is not the first time this happens to my account. I might as well cancel it.
