Kulula to FNB, what a nightmare. Empty promises.

Hi All

I had a Kulula credit card which closed down. It gave me the option of migrating to an FNB credit card. On the 4 June I collected the card. I told the person I collected it from that it was a card that had migrated from Kulula. He said nothing. I then put the card on internet banking. I received a few sms’s requesting me to FICA the card. On the 11 June I FICAd the account at the branch. Why did they not tell me when I collected the card. That Sunday I used the card for the first time. It declined twice. I was astonished as I still had credit. On Tuesday it told me that I was R18 over. I went to the Bedford Centre branch on Wednesday. I told the lady the story and she told me to speak to card division. I spoke to cars division six times and no one helped me. The lady at the branch then told me to use the app. I used the app and no one helped me. Finally they said that it would be sorted by Monday. It was not. On Monday they put me through to the Standard Bank complaints department! After numerous times I got through to someone who promised everything would be working by Friday. During the week the bank put additional fees through. I now owed FNB R60 due to there fees. I asked for the fees to be reversed as I had not used my card and that my card was not working. They promised me they would. Friday came. The card was not sorted. I went to the Norwood branch. The card division department did not even help the branch employee. They transferred me to the manager. She told me she would get someone to phone to make the card work. The person phoned me and asked me for all the FICA details. During Friday night they cancelled my card. On Saturday morning they had put the credit on but had not migrated me. I went to the branch. The manager said she would help me. She asked for my account to be migrated. I told her about my card. She said they could not reinstate it because they were off line. I then closed my FNB card and Kulula card. Today I wanted to know how far the closure was. They told me someone would phone me today. No one did. I phoned them and they did not put me through to that person. They told me it would take five working days. How am I to believe this? Will they really close my account or will they promise me and they won’t. I have never been so abused by a banking institution. I even asked at card division to speak to a manager. They wouldn’t let me. I asked for the CEO’s pa email address. They wouldn’t give it to me. Customer care, not at all.
