Kanti what does it take to downgrade my account or do I have to change banks entirely???

I cannot believe how inefficient the process is around downgrading my account is at FNB.

Oh but when I opened the account, such efficiency it was unbelievable, I never had to set foot at the branch, like EVER. I did everything electronically and its was really great, I even got bumped up to a plantinum cheque account and had the card delivered at my work, how awesome was that?

But now I no longer want the account, I cannot be paying over R200 over bank fees a month, I dont utilise half the benefits, I just dont want it anymore, its not value for money at all

I have called FNB premier so many times to downgrade and I have been advised that I need to go into the branch, but why??? I dont have time during the week and on weekends the team that they need to call to authorise my downgrade doens't operate. What am I to do now?

I called again last week and was advised that I would have a call back from their downgrade team within 24 hours, 24 hours has long passed. I dont wanna pay this money anymore, I am not the target market for this account!

Perhaps I just need close my account completely and move over to Capitec then since a downgrade seems to be an issue here.
