JUST WRONG FOR THE BRAND

This is the third review I'm giving of FNB concerning their Mobile Devices. The first two were the Gold Devices. I wont elaborate on the experiences, but the fact that I'm coming back here for the Third Time, says enough. I was offered an exchange to the so-called new and better model: ConeXis X1 Smart device. It seemed to handle the pressure a bit more than their previous model - on the screen cracking side and speaker system. A least I could put this one in my pocket.

Here's my problem with FNB. I'll admit that I absolutely love your banking system and how convenient it is for my life. But since the introduction of these mobile devices, You've been really *****ing things up for your brand. This is the one area that makes me dislike banking with FNB. Why did they ever introduce a device system to the most sensitive and ever so already stressed out market? Especially when the quality of these devices is so pathetic and leaves the consumer with wasted money. These mobile devices have really weak software and hardware manufacturing. To prove my point even further, I have a Samsung Galaxy Note3 which was with the ConeXis X1 when they both fell in the water together. It was for a short time of 2 seconds, but the quality device is obviously Samsung's Note3 - which is working fine. As for FNB's junk device, I'm just lost for words. I way it is built makes it even harder to fix because one cannot source the hardware parts anywhere - batteries or screen faces.

Basically, a touch of water for 2 seconds and the phone is dead. I have used Nokia and Samsung devices which have fallen inside water for longer periods multiple times and gotten fixed. When I took the ConeXis X1 device to WeFix, who happens to be FNB devices' authorised repairer, they said with regards to water damage, it may get fixed but even if that model gets cleaned up the problem will be recurring. So it's basically a temporary fix. They'd know because they deal with FNB devices.

Over the worse of the worse part is that being a 'personal inflicted' damage takes it 'out of warranty', and if WeFixit can't repair the phone to its originality, I'm still required to complete payments for a useless device. Being a 24Months contract means I must pay R5000 in total for a s****py phone waiting to stop working because of a minor infringement. What does that say about the value of service FNB has to it's customers. On the one hand FNB claims to care about people's hard earned money, on the other hand they're contributing to adding more stress to people's bank balance and debts. This is the one area that FNB is really getting really really REALLY WRONG. So now I'm stuck AGAIN with a device that will continue to give me problems while I waste my money on it.
