I've noted a very unusual behavior and character from two employees of this bank. A junior officer and the senior officer.
I approached the FNB Branch in 320 West Street today 6/12/2017 to enquirer about the status of my account. The charges are ridiculously high for a student. Apparently my account was upgraded from a Student Account to a Smart Account in 2015 1.( It was done without my consent and apparently it was done by the people at the call center) My question now is, am I not supposed to be told before any changes are done on my ACCOUNT??? Shouldn't I agree or disagree with whatever is being imposed on me??
However, I found out that FNB has brought some people to work and not to serve. I got the information from a consultant, who referred me to a certain Venessa Naicker (supervisor/manager) we sat and had a chat with her, expressed how aggrieved I was and shocked that for the past two years I've been paying ridiculous amounts for a student.
What ****ed, what ****ed me the most is when she said, she wasn't in a position to help me because she is not the one who did it, I should call the call center guys, who I was on the phone with for 45 minutes and didn't get any assistance. Dear FNB, the above mentioned woman, is there to work for FNB and not serve. How could you claim that you have nothing to do with an error committed by the institution that has tasked you to deal with its clients, I wasn't there to see her. I was there to see FNB who apparently made a very huge mistake in employing the said employee into the position of dealing with the banks clients. I honestly do not want anything to do with FNB now, I am begging whosoever it is who is responsible for overwriting accounts to please do so and close down my account, I hope Peter will furnish you with my information.
Apparently, I have to pay my overdue amounts to be able to close my account, the very same figure I'm disputing, isn't it some form/kind of a joke?? And can I not be told to contact whosoever it my be because it's just a window dressing strategy by this bank to pretend as if your query has been attended to.
