It's Time FNB and Banks in General Need to be Brought to Book

Since 2019 I have been trying to get FNB to investigate ***** on an account. Despite several complaints and case numbers they fail to resolve this case. Due to their lack of keeping video recordings, phone recording and surveillance footage inside banks they have been unable to come to a conclusion or communicate with me on the matter. I cannot believe that 5 years down the line I am still fighting this battle, which has had a domino affect on other issues. The ***** was clearly an inside job as one of their employees helped me outside at the ATM to make a transfer. It took a few tries before the transaction, according to him, had gone through. Obviously it was diverted to another account because it never reached the intended account. He thereafter asked me for the receipts and printouts. I cannot believe that banks in SA can do business like this. The customer seems to be abused and neglected. I have been overly patient until now, but I'm glad to see that the media is finally exposing the issue of the lack of customer care. If it were not for the customers no banks will exist. It's about time that customers get a voice, especially the vulnerable and marginalized ones for they do not have access to platforms like this one to express their views. If I had a choice I would give them a Zero! All banks must be reviewed and brought to book for their high interest rates as well there customer care which are crippling customers and in the end the economic development of our country. As it stands now I am only prepared to speak to people high up in FNB or take this to the media!

I am amazed yet grateful that you finally reply to my queries in such a quick turn around time. Can you imagine my frustration, loss of opportunities costs and other impacts it has had on me, my business, relationships, reputation and social standing? I am sure that there are several others I can speak for. Hopefully this will help you and other banks realise the importance of the customer.
I hope this is a moment of change for the way we do business in SA. I look forward to this situation being remedied once and for all. Kind regards MPM
