item Paid no funds charged for incorrect transactions
FNB *****s customers money every month. When I go through my bank statement every month I get charged this thing called "#item paid no funds". I got a transaction again this month of a transaction(R90) claimed I transacted on the 22Nov2024 which is a lie. So FNB will keep a transaction on reserved status until you have a zero balance and they execute that transaction claiming they paid on your behalf. So in summary, your available funds to them means nothing. I miss standardbank.

25 Nov 2024, 14:30What FNB is saying here is not reflecting what is happens on my bank statement.
Good day Mr. Koloti,
This is to confirm receipt of your complaint and I have reviewed your account.
We note that you do not hold an overdraft with FNB.
The below purchase was collected by the merchant on the 22/11/2024 which then overdrew your account.
PURCH Spar Centurion 113.99- 11/22
Therefore, you were charged the item paid fee
#ITEM PAID 1 ITEMS ON 90.00- 11/23
On November 22, 2024, your available balance was on R 46.43 after all other pending transactions banked.
Please bare in mind that your money charges of R 115.00 collected on the same date which was not catered for when you made the above purchase.
According to the price guide, FNB honored the payments for the 22th, and you were charged item paid fees. As a result, your ITC was not impacted.
Since the fee is irreversible, please use the FNB APP to make sure there are enough funds in the account to prevent this charge from happening in the future.
Any funds reserved for point of sale transactions will only be deducted from your transactional account when the merchant successfully banks transaction with its bank. Until this happens it is your responsibility to monitor your transactional account, and not to use those reserved funds. Take note that the available balance in your transactional account does not include the funds available in linked accounts like the FNB Savings Account
