Is this procedure FNB?
On Tuesday 19th May I received a call from Roger Kriege to inform me that there had not been a deposit in my cheque account for over a month (1 month & 8 days to be exact). I understand this is apparently the new credit regulation but was the correct procedure followed? He mentioned that there was a procedure and within 15 days he would have to send a letter of demand. I explained that I was working on the situation and that he should send the letter of demand. He had a terrible attitude and within 30 seconds of him ending the call I received an sms to say my account had been suspended. I checked on internet banking and all my funds have been removed into my overdraft. I did not have one cent to my name, I could not load airtime, I could not put fuel in my car to get to the bank. He left me in an overwhelming situation. My account has never been in bad standing and all payments were up to date. I have been bringing my overdraft down every month since the beginning of the year. I personally think that Roger has way too much power over people's bank accounts and I am absolutely appalled at how I was treated like a ********. If FNB have no grace then I will be moving my account.
