Is our money safe?

I was not going to write anything, but this has been bothering me, so here goes... Last night (27 September 2019) at around 20:28 pm, I was sitting watching TV and all of a sudden a transaction goes off on my cheque account an amount of R2950. 07, the reference was "@ Airbnb * Hmahs8ke8r". I have never used Airbnb in my life, also at that time my cards were sitting neatly in my wallet, so it was not me.

I called the bank immediately, I explained what just happened, so the lady asks for my ID number and then tells me she is sending a message to my banking app, I must open it and approve, which I did.

She then says she will transfer me to the ***** division, I then speak to a Lawrence Shai. I repeat my story again, he asks me for the amount taken (3 times), I give it to him and the reference. He tells me he will need to cancel it, which is fine, then proceeds to order me a new one.

After that he said he will log a ***** case for me to be investigated. I asked him how long it will take and he said I should get feedback in about 7 working days, which is something I find appaling. Here's what disgusts me even more... I asked him how this transaction could have gone through without my approval. His response is that it is a internet transaction, so he also does not understand how it happened, but they will investigate. I approve every single transaction on my app. So if ********** can bypass this security feature, is our money even safe?
