Is FNB FNB #EXCESS ITEM FEE just another ****???

I may be stupid but i do not think one needs a degree to make sense of this... I have on my Business Cheque -> Bal: R300 - Avail Bal: R300. I swipe at a till item worth R300 Ref:XZY. Now I have Avail Bal: R0. though the transaction is still pending I no longer have that money has been reserved to honour that purchase. 2 days later bank charges happen: monthly fee blah blah blah...now I have Avail Bal : - R230. a couple of days later my previous transaction at the till finally gets actioned and booom FNB charges me R300 reference #XYZ + a freaking R400 FNB #EXCESS ITEM FEE!!! How the hell does that work? How do I get penalized on item that was paid for while there was funds in the account??? Can some genius shade some lights on some of us who getting tired of being **********

I would like to thank the FNB support department for their prompt attention on this matter especially the friendly voice on the phone of Zama Biyela...the transaction was reversed. however while you guys were sorting it this issue I walk to another #ITEM EXCESS deduction: 23 Jan 2019 #EXCESS ITEM FEE 1 ITEMS ON 19/01/ 1 ITEMS ON 19/01/22 0.00 -156.36 I have no idea how much is going to be enough but something needs to be done about it.
