Investment Department - Poor Service Delivery
My issue started when i contacted the Flexi Fixed/Investment Department of FNB. My investment had matured (20th November 2018) & i wished to remove some of the money & re-deposit back into the flex-fixed account. After validating all my details telephonically I was then asked to validate my residential address. I have two residential addresses as i have two properties that i live at between provinces ,one in Tongaat & one in Centurion. When asked to validate my current addressI had initially listed the address of my Tongaat residence as my account had been opened at this branch. The call center agent then asked how long had i been living at this address, to which i rep**** "all my life" as i still reside at the Tongaat address. I was told by the agent that it was the incorrect address & then i had listed my Centurion address. The call center that it was still incorrect as it not the Highveld (a suburb of Centurion) address that was listed & i will therefore receive no assistance after the matter has been investigated. I had explained to her that Highveld is a suburb of Centurion & she told me that Highveld is in Witbank (which it is not). After a long back & forth between the agent & myself i had asked to speak to the manager. The manager had explained the process where they have to investigate & said that he will listen to the phone call & get back to me the same day (20th-November-2018). I had told him that i'm not going to argue about locations as i had given them all my correct information as per the validation process of FNB & it's a bit silly that i can't be helped because i had given the correct address on the second attempt. If i had given the wrong address on the fourth attempt i would understand them not wanting to assist me. Today (21-11-2018) i had contacted the Call Center again to see if anything had happened as the manager whom promised to contact me had not. I was told that i cannot remove my funds as i have missed the maturity date. I was then forwarded back to the same the agent whom told me nothing will be done until the call was listened to. I had told her that no one had contacted me as promised which is absolutely poor customer service as i need to access my funds from the investment. She had then engaged with me & restated that i had given the wrong address yesterday. I again tried to explain to her that i live at both addresses & i had given her the correct address on the second attempt & if she was going to flag me then why did she even bother to ask me for the address again. I would understand if i was flagged after the fourth attempt & not the second. FNB allows you to enter your pin in 3 times before being blocked. Choosing to flag me after the first attempt even though i had given all the correct information was based on a her making a decision & not a computer. I am now in a situation where it's been two days & no one at FNB is willing to assist me with my investment account! What kind of service delivery is this when someone needs to get funds in case of an emergency? I need this matter resolved as soon as possible as it is appalling that no one can assist me with a simple transaction because of an address.
