Internet Banking

Compared to some other banks FNB appears to have an unfriendly at erratic web site for Internet Banking. To enable one to register you have to have Java. Various ways of downloads are tried but Windows 8.1 will not install Java and error 1603 continues to raise its head. A call to the Call Centre provides no assistance to rectify this. A query by e-mail from the web site to FNB only elicits a reference number and thats the end of that. Why does this bank have to use Java when it appears Windows 8.1 does not support it? Why can't the bank resolve the issue with Oracle who own Java? Why do other banks have no Internet problems of this sort and do not require Java? It has been over a week now and I have been unable to use FNB Internet Banking. Another 4 users I have spoken to advise you have to sometimes try at least 4 times to access and make operations through FNB Internet Banking. I have watched some users of Standard Bank and ABSA bank have no problem at all with their Internet Banking and the site operates quickly and efficiently. Perhaps one day Windows 8.1 users may be surprised BY FNB IT developing a much more acceptable and friendly Internet Banking site.
