International transactions blocked - worst customer service

On 1 June I informed FNB in person at the branch of my upcoming travel plans, they noted the dates and destinations on my account and all was in order.

5 June I get an sms saying they have blocked all international transactions as I have exceeded my limit. I haven't used the card overseas for over a year and have not bought anything from overseas online in a long time. I phone the number in the sms to have this fixed, wait for 20 mins but there's no answer so I give up.

6 June I go to the branch, they can't help because it's a Forex issue and there's nothing they can do even though my account, my cards and the sms are all from FNB and I'm standing in an FNB branch. But I can use their phone to call the same number once again.. thanks. 20 mins later I speak to a lady on the phone who says that international transactions were blocked due to *****, I asked if there was any ********** transactions or transaction attempts, the answer is no and I am instructed to email as per the sms and it will be sorted before 7 June, which was my travel date, which they already knew. I emailed twice that day, no reply. Then spent a full hour on the phone before someone picked up. The lady confirmed all was in order and it would be resolved within 48 hours. I asked to have my limits increased to avoid this in the future but was told that they would have to look into that as "it depends how much I can afford" - what the actual? This is my own money. And I have no credit.

10 June I spent hours trying to reach someone via the online banking chat function because no one cares to reply to any of my emails - they then finally called me and put me through to the right department, I waited for 2 FULL HOURS on the phone but no one picked up.

It is now 11 June and I still haven't heard a thing. I have emailed every possible contact at FNB, Forex, the escalation email in the automated response email and an employee at the Woodstock branch twice a day since 5 June and I have not had one single reply. Not one.

I have been overseas since 8 June, as they know, and I don't have access to my money due to an error on their side and not one person at FNB has the slightest interest in addressing this. How am I supposed to manage without access to my accounts?? This is beyond despicable, the absolute lowest level of "customer service" I have ever experienced and I will most definitely be finding another bank the minute I return to SA.
