Inefficient/******** Staff and Terrible service at FNB Vincent Branch (East London)

Due to a *****ulent activity on our account, we blocked our account yesterday. This morning we went to the bank physically so that the account can be unblocked. We were at the branch FOR A LONG TIME and met the consultant. Then for unblocking the online profile, the consultant took us to yet another consultant and left us with her. Our hope was that we will be assisted. This second consultant was on a phone (perhaps assisting another client) and told us to click few things on the screen. Anyway, at the end of the process, a message to this effect (not sure of the exact message) was displayed "No data available". So this consultant says this can be done from home by calling ***. After reaching home when I call the number, they say you have to be at the branch to do this. Because of my frustration I wanted to report this and was given the number *** which is a line where you can supposedly register your complaint. I called this number a few times. Every time it asks to enter the ID number and press the hash key. As soon as I enter the ID number and then the hash key, the call gets disconnected. I WONDER WHAT THIS LINE IS FOR.

My OTHER concerns: 1) Are the staff members at the Vincent Branch (East London) not trained or do not have enough information on how to unblock an account. If not......PLEASE SEND THEM FOR A TRAINING. LET THE CUSTOMERS NOT SUFFER BECAUSE OF THEIR INEFFICIENCY OR IGNORANCE. 2) If there is dedicated line to report problems, make sure that line works. Or is it the FNB's strategy to show that there are no issues reported by the clients.....AS NO ONE CAN REPORT A COMPLAINT ANYWAY :).

WELL DONE FNB AND ESPESCIALLY THE VINCENT BRANCH. WHILE I WAS WAITING IN THE QUEUE, I WAS TALKING TO OTHERS AND WAS TOLD THAT THE MANAGER OF THIS BRANCH IS THE MOST ARROGANT PERSON AND HAS NO INTEREST OF CLIENT AT HEART. THIS IS DEFINITELY TRUE WITH MY OWN PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE.

Hope this will reach FNB and some consideration will be given. Don't have much hope as I had an experience some time back and almost moved my account to ABSA (where I already have an account). This time if I do not get a response, most definitely all our accounts will be moved to ABSA.

I would appreciate if I got a call from a really serious/concerned staff from FNB (IF FNB CARES IN THE FIRST PLACE) who will attend to the complaint which I took a long time tp type.

UTTERLY DISGUSTED WITH FNB Vinod Kumar
