Inefficiency from leading Bank in SA

It pains me to write a negative review on one of the leading banks in South Africa, if not Africa. I had been a client of FNB Bank for twenty years, until recently where they randomly selected my account and declared that two *****ulent transactions declared that I am unfit to be a client to FNB, so determined by their forensics and ***** department. I submitted all information answered all her questions to prove that these transactions were not and are not *****ulent, but ms. Compliant officer from ***** Division FNB made the decision that it is, without proof from their side, just the decision to severe my ties with FNB even closing my account claiming. Then she claims that if I submit a police clearance certificate to prove I am not a ******** that she will release my remainder funds in the FBN account now supposedly closed to a new account with another bank. This all transpired from 5th of July 2023 till today. Now todate I have not received my funds after having to borrow the money to get the police clearance and waited patiently for a month to pass that's how long SAPS takes to give their citizens a police clearance (30days to confirm if you're a ******** or not). While waiting for the 30days to expire, I wrote a complaint letter via email to FNB's customer service, this back fired on me and then I learnt the lesson I hope many banking people have, when the slogan says " how can I help you", the fine line is if you have consistent money flowing through your account enables help of any kind. As a working person one doesn't notice how banks operates, we take for granted that they are helping us and we frown on individuals who rather take all their money out of the banks and keep the cash in a safe or under their mattresses. Now, I find myself in that position 'cash is king' and banks are the underlying you know what. They cannot prove any *****ulent activity especially in my case, but what really perturbs me is that the amount of money left in my FNB account is not millions, it's not thousands, it's not even 10 000 rand, it a mere 4700 rand, my savings being held hostage by a compliance officer of the bank thinking she caught a *****ster. The irony is that she cannot prove anything, but make allegations and then lies and says infront of the FNB Manager she will do the transfer on submission of my new banking details and the police clearance. This was all done at the beginning of the October month and then says she is not sure how long the transfer transaction may take. Most EFTs take two days to seven working days to clear, it's been 11 days. Really, why do we have South Africans who work for titles and cannot do their functions effectively and efficiently, this is symptomatic in all industries not just the banks.
