I sent an email to Mr Jacques Cilliers 6th August without any response.

Dear Sir

I have purchased a Liquorland franchise in Hoedspruit during March 2018. As I was still working and residing in New Zealand, I had to negotiate via my sister and mother to secure the necessary info and documentation for the purchase. The scenario is as follows.

The purchase price is R660 000 made up as follows; (R400k for the business and R260k for the stock) . I relocated to South Africa in beginning of June, and starthed the process to secure this business sale.

I have app**** with FNB Hoedspruit, and dealt with Graham Muller. All financial information of the existing business as well as all the financial forecasts was provided. As I am only seeking a 69% loan, I was shocked when he advices met today that the security we offer, etc was not acceptable.

I ( JG Koen) is the sole Director in the company. My mother ( HP Koen) and myself are the 2x Shareholders, she holding 70%. She will also provide security in the form of either 2x Investments which is not annuities as stated by the consultant, or a covering bond over her unbonded property in MontanaPark Pretoria. There he also indicated that it might be a risk due to her age. I am convinced that if she concedes and offers the security, it should be a sign of good intent. I have already deposited the R30 000 into the Tondomazi business account as indicated on the cashflow/budget forecast. I have secured a property in Hoedspruit. According to the consultant FNB insist on 3 years financial statements, but the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 statements were provided as well as all the proof of other income from Lotto en Cell phone airtime. All the info in the banks possession should be sufficient to make an informed decision on this 100% secured loan. The Offer to Purchase expiry date was extended to 1 September 2018.

I have already secured a property and relocated to Hoedspruit. I gave up my New Zealand employment to secure this business. I have paid all the expenses thus far ( register a company, employ an auditor, bought a vehicle cash, ) My plea is that you intervene in this matter. I am already managing the day to day running of this business, as the sellers have opened a Butchery where they are busy full time, and are not involved in this business at all.
