Incredibly Poor Service

I ordered and recieved a new Smart device from FNB on the 25th of October.

Upon delivery of the device, I contacted FNB Insurance to get a quote and insure. I was told that my details would be taken and someone would call me back within the hour to complete the process. A few hours later I called CIB, the underwriters of the insurance, to follow up on the process. They advised that all they could was to take my details and get someone from FNB to contact me. This back and forth continued for the next 4 days - where I called twice a day, with no result.

On the 27th of October I wrote a complaint to the office of Mandy Rajcoomar. Dimakatso reverted within hours stating that the issue would attended to. Nothing happened.

On the 31st of October I called CIB again. They advised that their system has correcly captured my details on the 25th, and that these had been sitting with FNB for almost a week.

I called FNB to enquire what the bottle-neck could be, and was advise they would revert soonest. At COB today (the 31st) I recieved a generic policy email with no actual information relating to my query and quotation. This was after phoning hourly for feedback.

This is simply not acceptable service for an insurance product. I have been walking around for almost a week with an uninsured device.

While most of the consultants I dealt seemed eager to assist - ultimately they have not been very usefull in actually delivering any level service.

I'd appreciate it if FNB could expedite this issue and ensure that someone contacts me to arrange the next steps.

Having to waste hours of my time to massage this process through FNB is a terrible indication of your willingness to assist a long-standing client.
