[To: FNB Customer Resolutions / Formal Complaints Department
Dear FNB Management Team, I am writing this email in a state of extreme distress to formally request urgent intervention regarding an incorrect payment made from my banking app on 01/04/2026 at 09:10 AM. Due to a single-digit error, I accidentally transferred funds to account number ***. Realizing the mistake immediately, I rushed to the Montague Gardens branch, where I was assisted by a consultant named Carina. I authorized the bank to proceed with a reversal and agreed to the associated service fees. However, the assistance I received thereafter was deeply disheartening. During the consultation, the ***** Team was contacted, who referred us to "SUITE," who then referred the matter to Online Banking. Ultimately, I was informed that the bank could not assist and, crucially, refused to even attempt to contact the recipient to advise them of the error. I am a loyal FNB client; I trust this institution with my salary and my funeral cover. It is devastating to be told "nothing can be done" when the bank has the means to verify my intent. I even provided the correct account details I had intended to pay to prove that this was a genuine clerical error. This matter is of the utmost urgency. The funds in question were the last remaining money I had, specifically set aside for my aunt’s funeral arrangements. I currently have no funds left to survive the month or to give my family member a dignified send-off. While I take full responsibility for the typing error, I cannot understand why the bank I have trusted for years would not make a single attempt to facilitate a resolution or reach out to the other party. I am pleading for your assistance to review this case and initiate the reversal process or contact the recipient on my behalf. I have nowhere else to turn and am relying on your intervention to resolve this before the funeral.

Sincerely,
Sindiswa S. Selana
