INCORRECT BANK CHARGES

I have really struggled with my so called Premier Account with FNB this year and it’s frustrating to deal with the premier bankers on the app who are slow to response and quick to end chats. As I type this, I have been glued to my phone waiting for over 15mins for a response.

FNB has been charging me R110 for honoring my payments with merchants who did not bank their funds when the swipe was done.

Whilst I appreciate this gesture, my argument was that when I swipe, these funds are reserved - I get sms comfirmation to this effect. They are not available for me to use and my bank balance decreases so when the merchant banks, there should be nothing to honor.

One of the chat people Bridget agreed, put a request to reverse R330 of these charges which FNB says they reversed and I can see from my detailed balance an entry as such but my available balance remained the same. It did not go up by R330.00

I explained this to the last person I chatted with today and the response I got was “the funds were reversed” I know! I said this in my chat to advise that it seems there was a reversal but my availability balance did not change

Upon inspection I found another R110 and R55 which has been charged for the same thing! Honoring a payment that was for reserved funds!!!

What is this and how far does it go?!

This effectively means FNB has charged me R490 this month for so called honoring payments.

I previously complained about this issue on this platform. I got a call and was given a wishy washy explanation and I let it go until now when It’s just too much!!!

Pls can 1. All these honoring fees be reversed 2. Can this be stopped pls forever. Don’t go out any payments for me. It’s not worthwhile for me because you are *****ing from me
