Inconvenience, inefficiency and no communication - FNB

I have a credit card with FNB, unfortunately. If Capitec offered credit facilities I'd be with them.

Over a month ago, for no apparent reason, with no correspondence or indication it was blocked and my access to my online banking portal restricted. The only message I received after trying to login said that I needed to visit a branch to have my chip varified. This is virtually impossible for me to do because I am currently residing in South Korea. I contacted FNB's online banking dept, managed to speak to someone who sent me through forms I needed to fill in which I subsequesntly did and I have heard nothing from them. I have subsequently resent the email three times, all with the same result. I tried to phone the online banking deptartment and had the line cut because of "technical issues".

All of this despite me even supplying my new phone number and an area code for South Korea for them because apparently the customer must do homework for them too.

I have not been able to access my online banking profile for a month now. The bank is quite happy to rceive my debit orders and send me monthly statements. Naturally, as soon as a customer requires some assistence from them you are greeted with inefficiency and poor communication.

I still have not received any indication for the reason for my card/online banking being blocked.

FNB banking at its best.
