Inconvenience cause, lack of communication to clients

I have been a savings account with FNB for more than 2 years now, suddenly today when I want to access my funds to pay for my child's school fees I couldn't as it gave me some error message saying transaction was not permitted for one of the account, meaning I couldn't move funds from my savings account to my cheque account. I felt stupid in front of the school accounts treasurer trying to pay, knowing I have funds but cannot access them. I called FNB and spoke to Palesa who told me that a hold was put on my account and transferred me to accounts where I spoke to Thuli, who advised that I need to go to a branch to fill in some forms in order for the hold to be uplifted as this has something to do with my tax information. I told her they were inconveniencing me as I am at school and they were closing, she then transfered me to some lady whom I couldn't hear proper by the name of Nomxolisi or something like that as I asked her to be audable and transfer me to either the supervisor or manager in charge, who then blind transferred me to Tumi, whom I had to relate the whole thing over. She advised that the process to follow was to either go to the branch or do it telephonical as there are questions needed to be answered in order for this hold thing to be lifted, of which we did and the account was fine. The fact of the matter is that no financial institution has rights over clients' funds, they need to communicate and advise clients about any changes they have implemented and not to wake up knowing you have funds but you are unable to access them due to their mistake of not communicating with us
