*********** Operators

I normally shop online and always rely on my OTP and in-contact transaction alerts. I needed to update my cell phone number to receive my OTPs and in-contact alerts and thought it would be as simple as changing it on my online banking profile. I proceeded to do that but at the time the update feature seemed to be down. So I called the credit division to assist with updating my cell phone number for my credit cards transactions at least but they instructed me to visit a branch. Then I visited a branch (Centurion-Lifestyle Centre) and waited and wait 30 mins in a queue and then 15 mins with a consultant. She said everything was updated on my online profile I received a confirmation sms on my new cell number. But they also stated that I had to call the credit card division myself to get those details updated!!! Went back to the office and I called the credit card division again and now they said I have to go to a branch to update my credit card in-contact details. By then I had enough of being thrown around and gave the operator a mouthful of words and demanded that my problem be fixed. She then asked me to login to online banking and then change my details there. She helped me find settings for the online secure details for each card and that needs to updated along with the general in-contact details in the settings tab. Thinking that all my alerts and OTPs will now arrive at my new number but to my amazement not so. I’m at the point where I at least now get my OTPs on my new number but my transaction alerts still goes to the old number which is not always on me. I cannot find any traces of my old number on my online profile and don’t know where else to check. The thought of speaking to another consultant or operator at FNB brings my blood to a near boiling point. If somebody where to **********ly use my account I will not get my alerts in time to know it’s currently happening. That sucks along with the operators I dealt with at FNB because they cannot find out why my in-contact alerts are still going to my old number whilst OTPs go to the new number!!!!
