You login to FNB online banking, you see a notice you have been selected for a loan for up to R300 000, you apply for the personal loan (not once, not twice but three times). Application 1, you qualify for a loan of R120 000. Send through all the documents, and the next moment your application are unsuccessful because someone who gets paid a salary did not do his work and and only uploaded half the documents which was send through. Application 2 (2 weeks later), you qualify for a loan of R150 000. Once again, send through all the documents and minutes later, your application was unsuccessful. Application 3, you qualify for a loan of R***. Same story send through all my documents, just to find out my application was declined.
So, the funny and best part is this. We contact the call centre/Loan Department to hear why the application was unsuccessful and here are what different people had to say ALL WORKING FOR FNB. Reason 1 - lack of affordability Reason 2 - you do not meet the criteria Reason 3 - your income of 2019 financial year (March 2018 - Feb 2019) was not enough - great!! So, you assess our loan affordability based on 2 years back. Obviously that makes perfect sense.
I decided to do my OWN credit checks from 2 liable sources and guess what....IT IS NOT DUE TO LACK OF AFFORDABILITY; my credit score is EXCELLENT!!!
I contacted FNB once again and for the 1st time another person confirmed the reason, "You do not meet the criteria". I asked them to tell me what the criteria is and a simple answer came backd, "I don't know what the criteria is". WHAT??????? You tell me that I do not meet the criteria but NO ONE at FNB knows what the actual criteria is. I must say, FNB Please get professional people, which is well trained to know all the answers to various questions, such as (You do not meet the criteria) I want to put it out there – DOES ANY ONE AT FNB KNOW WHAT THE CRITERIA IS?????????????
I WILL WAIT FOR THE RESPONSE I RECEIVE……………………………………..
