*********** Bank

I paid up my revolving loan on the 21st of November 2019 and called in for the account to be closed the same day and asked the staff that I need a paid-up letter and was assured that it will be emailed to me within 1 to 5 working days, this time has long lapsed and each day I call FNB I am told that it will be sent to me before the end of the day that it has been escalated. I have been dealing with this bankers with the following names from Private Client Leigh Spies who is the team leader who assured me that she will be calling me by 9 am today dated the 3rd of December 2019 after my telephone discussions with her yesterday but she failed to call me back, which is very unprofessional of a team leader. The other person is Sethabile Nxumalo also from Private Client Suite, who is also not available to speak to me whenever I call after making so many promises that I was going to get my paid-up letter yesterday dated 2nd of December 2019 which never happened. I am just so angry and disappointed with this bank. Time is running out on me on the application I intend using the paid-up letter for.

I then called today and requested to speak with her and was told she was in a meeting all day which clearly is an indication that she is avoiding speaking to me as a client of FNB. The service from FNB is very distasteful compared to other banks I bank with it took Standard bank just 48 hours to give me a paid-up letter when I visited my branch. With FNB it is taking more than two weeks going for a month to get a paid-up letter. I demand my rightful letter failure to which I am willing to take further action.

FNB is a very ***********, useless Bank. It took Standard Bank 48 hours to get me a paid-up letter and is taking FNB a month to issue me with one. Today I called again they are saying it will take them another 5 banking days to clarify a debit wrongly debited on my revolving loan account which I already closed on the 21st of November and yet it was still debited on the 30th of November after this useless Bank did confirm the account closed. I'm been told after a review before they can issue me with a paid-up letter for an account I closed since the 21st of November 2019. Hopeless Bank. Yet the banker I am speaking to does not know when this will be simply because of the useless managers sitting at the credit department in FNB Banking City.

The application that I need the paid-up letter for is closing on me by the end of today. So this useless Bank is costing me an opportunity that is irreplaceable. This is very simple I have asked to be provided with a letter simply saying I am not owing for this account. The banker I spoke to said he can see the account is on 00 from his end, then why can't you just provide me with a simple written letter saying this customer no longer owes for his revolving loan

The services of Fnb is so *********** and unreliable and ridiculous. The staff who are supposed to be upfront with a customer’s lies and then when they can’t keep up with their lies they attack you or avoid taking calls when you call to speak to a particular staff handling your file.

I paid up my revolving loan on the 21st of November 2019, and the *********** bank assured me that I was going to get my paid-up letter within 1 to 5 banking days when this time period lapsed and I still did not receive the paid-up letter I called and all I am been told is that the matter has been escalated and that before the close of each working day I will receive my letter.

Now when I called again I was told the ETA time to receive a paid-up letter is 3 to 7 working days, this time also has long lapsed and they keep up with different lies. The application I am required to use the paid-up letter for closes today and this bank which I thought was my bank is going to cost me a life-changing opportunity which they can never pay back or amend to me.

I do not understand why someone in the management cannot write a simple letter saying that I do not owe on my revolving loan yet the treatment I am met with is their unprofessionalism and duck and dive attitude. When I pressed on the team leader to get me a manager to speak to he refused and said the bucks stops with him. I find this attitude and defense that he does not have a manager as a team leader, I then asked him who does he account to I never got a response from him on this. He rather blatantly said the problem seems to be coming from me hence I did not receive my paid-up letter.

This bank has no self standard or customer care or understanding to deal with a customer. This bank is wicked and mean. I am seriously now considering closing my accounts and move over to Capitec which offers much better cheaper and reliable services. Than this unprofessional FNB which charges me a huge amount on my private client services and yet I do not know what I am been charged for when they do not offer a comfortable service to me.
