I have had the most frustrating experience switching my account to FNB.

After a month and a half of trying to activate my account, to which I have been given the bank cards, registered for online banking, made a deposit and successfully switched my debit orders to, the account still remains inactive.

Calling queries resulted in conversations with two people - one indicating that the documents were there the block just had to be removed and the other indicating that I need to submit the FICA documents again to remove the block.
I cannot understand that the branch would give me the bank cards to a new account without accepting the FICA documents whilst at the branch, when I was sent away on previous occasions because these documents where incorrect without the cards.

The fact that my debit orders have been switched to an inactive account has put me in a predicament should this issue not be sorted by the allocated time which will result in cost penalties to me (new FNB client).

I have been given the impression that FNB is ready to sign up new clients quickly and efficiently but the service thereafter has been nothing shorty of frustrating.
