***********

On Sunday, my mother went to an ATM and found the machine to have issues. She tried canceling the transaction, but the card did not come out. She called the card hotline to stop the card, while standing at the ATM. There was a withdrawal of R700 from the account when she later checked via cellphone banking and there have been further transactions after that.

This is the second time this happens. Some years back, money was taken from her account while she had her ATM card in her possession, even though she had called to have the card stopped after she had a similar experience at an ATM and was told that everything was ok, and they were not going to stop the card, only to have R1200 withdrawn, even though her limit was only R1000 at the time. I was under the impression that FNB had reimbursed her, as it was because of their negligence that this occurred. She was apparently given horrible treatment an was just told not to give her pin to anyone!! How disrespectful

My mother is a pensioner and cannot afford to be losing such over the incompetence of FNB and their staff.

Kgomotso
***
[Email Removed]
