Incompetence and Negligence

On the 19th of August 2017, I went to FNB Woodbridge branch to open an additional account for my brother of which I was assisted by Ziyanda Sibiya*. Ziyanda convinced me to open a premier account and then give the Standard bank account that I have to my brother. Upon filling the documentation I asked for my debit orders to move from my previous bank to FNB, Siyanda advised and assured that my debit order will be moved IMMEDIATELY all I had to do was make sure by the 25th my salary is deposited into my new FNB account. I left the branch happy and before I left I explained to her that I do not want to come back for admin or any issues and I am happy with Standard bank but since she convinced me otherwise I will move over to FNB. Fast forward to Saturday 26th August I woke up and I had received a debit order notification from my standard bank this meant my debit orders had not moved to FNB , because I did not have enough funds in my Standard bank to cover the debit my amount in that account became on a negative balance. I went to the branch and asked to speak to the the branch manager (Bibi Mariam Jassat) advised that I speak to Ziyanda as she was the one assisting me. I went to Ziyanda and this when her lying begun 1) she says that she told me that the debit orders take time to be moved, 2) She thought my salary would come in the account is September, what really upset she knew very well my salary would come in this month, cause on Wednesday the 23rd I called her and asked her for my account number as I had left the papers at home and salaries were being processed. She even said I can go ahead and get the salaries deposited cause the account was active. 3) She showed no remorse whatsoever and said that she is certain she told me all this info. I am not alliterate had I know all of this I would have not given my employer the new banking details and I would have not spend time calling her. Because the debit order that went of amounted to R951.65 and which left my bank account at standard bank sitting at -R584.50 and since Ziyanda could not help me, I went to speak to Bibi Mariam Jassat (Branch Manager) who advised that I deposit R8000.00 for my debit orders which left me sitting at R7415.50. I then asked to be refunded the R584.50 as it's not my fault and I should not be paying for it. She then said Standard Bank paid as I was not charged a fee for the debit order which did not make sense to me. Fastforward to yesterday the 28th I checked my bank statement and noted that on the same saturday the debit order had bounced and I was charged an amount of R115 for an unpaid debit order fee. So I am sitting at a financial loss of R699.50 because of FNB Woodbridge. I tried calling the branch today with no avail, I emailed Bibi Jassat a copy/screenshot of my bank statement from Standard Bank showing her that the debit order bounced and the charge that I received, and she said that she told me about the charge which is not true. Had I been given the correct information from the get go I wouldnt be in this situation. I therefore request that FNB pays me back the R699.50 that I lost between the 26th and 27th of August 2017. I am a single mother and it is not enough to raise a child on a single income the R699.50 that I have lost in all of this needs to go towards my daughter's creche fees before the 1st of September 2017. All of this is not my fault and I shouldn't have to financially suffer for it, I work hard day in and out for my daughter and lose money because of Ziyanda's lies, negligence and incompetence is not on! I need my money back.
