INADEQUATE BANKING SYSTEM

I have made several cash deposits in my bank account the past month.

According to FNB the money takes three days to clear, however when I make the deposit it reflects immediately in my account.It shows on my available balance and in app notifications.

What happens now is, due to their system delay FNB is deducting money from my account as NON PAID items. With my last cash deposit an amount of R1650 was deducted after I deposited R2780. I was left with 1130 in my account.

I enquired at the bank and the consultant didn’t understand either. She saw that my app and the system are showing two different things.

In addition, an EFT of R800 was made to my acc, my account kept showing a negative balance and this morning another R90 went off on my acc dated 15 Oct NON PAID items.

Fnb has become the worst bank ever, once again my acc is in a minus state, and note I do not have an overdraft. Now, FNB is calling it commitment fees.

I’m sick of this. I need my money to buy food and electricity. Why should I suffer at the hand of an inadequate system? I don’t have 3-5 business days to wait for reversals requested, I have Real life commitments and a family to take care of.
