Inactive Accounts - Can't Access My Money - Poor Service Received from FNB

I am currently in the UK and have been struggling to gain access to my money in both my credit acount and my cheque account for 4 weeks. I spent an hour on the phone with FNB being transferred around to different departments because no one knew how to help me. Eventually I was assisted and I was assured that everything was right and I could use my accounts again. This phone call cost me R1500.00 and the problem was not even resolved!!!! I've sent several emails explaining my situation and specified that I am in the UK and how costly it is to phone FNB from abroad but the only response I receive is "Please contact customer service on ********** 711"

I keep getting an error code 217 stating that my account is inactive or I have insufficient funds. The latter is definitely not the case! Why would FNB deactivate both of my accounts for no apparent reason?

The service FNB has been offering their customers lately has been pathetic. I am at a point where I actually demand a full refund for the R1500.00 I wasted on a useless phone call and I want my issue resolved immediately!

When I go back to South Africa in December I will be closing my accounts with FNB and I will never recommend FNB to anyone as a bank
