Inactive account re-activated

I have a pressing issue here with FNB, first of all the rates are pretty much high and that's why i stopped using their account, which was accumulating interest on a monthly basis and i was handed over after 3 months of not utilising the account as i was owing an overdraft. I managed to get funds on the 30th Of May 2025 to settle the account and went to the FNB branch in Witbank and called the call centre which connected me to the lawyer's TCR, however before getting transferred i requested the agent at the branch and the call centre agent from FNB to close the account as i was going to make the payment of the outstanding debt the next day, which was on the 31st of May 2025 and i managed to do so, however the account was not closed yet. The account is still accumulating interests which i will not be liable for, but this is not helping because its messing with my credit score.
