Immediate Payment never reflected.
On 15 August I made an immediate payment to a Standard Bank account which has still not reflected, and despite numerous follow-ups the matter remains unresolved; the agents on secure chat are unable to provide any explanation, while the customer care line also cannot advise on the cause of the delay, which is highly disappointing given that an “immediate payment” should be both reliable and transparent.

18 Aug 2025, 16:13Hi,
Following up on my initial complaint regarding the immediate payment I made on 15 August 2025 (reference “Mommy”), I received an email from FNB regarding my missing payment inquiry.
The email confirmed that the payment went off my account successfully and shows as successful on FNB’s system. It also stated that when a payment is rejected, it can take up to 5 business days to return to my account. However, no rejection has been confirmed, and the funds have still not reflected with the recipient.
What concerns me most is that FNB cannot explain why an instant payment has not reflected. Instead, I was advised that the recipient should “refer to their statement,” which does not resolve my issue.
I once again request that FNB urgently investigate and provide me with a clear explanation and resolution, rather than shifting the responsibility onto the recipient.
