Illogical notice period of 90 days

Recently I jointly purchased a new home while letting my existing home.

FNB has a clause which indicates that if one purchases a new home and retains this homeloan with FNB, that one is exempt of early bond cancelation fees.

The transfer has just gone through and I am now selling my secondary home with this in mind. I could not sell this property earlier as it was bound by a rental contract.

Now FNB has arrogantly indicated that a bond cancelation notice period of 90 days needs to be given. I already have a buyer and transfer will take place in +/- 60 days, making me liable for early bond cancelation fees.

This is completely unacceptable - How can I not qualify for exemption if I am keeping my new home bonded with FNB?!?!?

Must FNB always make everything into a war effort?! Or is it merely lack of interest and consideration for clients?
