Ignoring warning of a ****
Disappointing response from FNB. Received an email advising me to update KYC details for FICA purposes - was clearly a **** attempting to extract personal information. Informed Private Banking (so they would be aware of the **** and could take appropriate action to warn clients) and was given the telephone number of the department to call to find out what documents were required for KYC purposes. Clearly my email had NOT been read and FNB merely responded to the reference to KYC. A second compolaint was fortunately picked up by another agent who checked my profile, ascertained there were no outstanding documents - which I knew. But this second agent (Neo by name) then listened to and took note of the potential **** being reported.
The actions of the first agent were however not good enough FNB - when clients take the trouble to alert you of a ****, collect the information and determine whether there is an issue. Do not fob them off.
