ID application

So this morning we head off to FNB Cornubia to finally change my surname! I did the online application through home affairs and made my appointment for 9am. We get there and wait till about 9:15 to be told they have now suspended the processing of IDs and it sounded like he said Passports as well because they don't have permanent staff so they cannot assist. Stating that the people should go to home affairs to process everything. It was very difficult to understand the man so I may be wrong with some information. Very annoyed that they advertise that they now can help with processing IDs only to get turned away when going there!!
