I would not recommend FNB's Short Term Insurance

Loss Event: RNM48692 On the 27th of December 2025, I logged an emergency claim for a burst geyser, and only on the 9th of January the geyser was replaced. I am left with a broken down ceiling because of unclear communication from FNB. I am forced to pay the access to have my home returned to a condition it was found to be in, before the claim was logged. FNB's claim advisor was not upfront in communication. When I reported the claim, the ceiling was intact, in pristine condition, and had no damage arising from the burst geyser.

Throughout the claim process, I have been contacted by at least 8 different service providers. Of which I was not sure who is actually dealing with the claim. I have had to follow up on my claim progress many times.

Over 2 difficult weeks, closing 3 weeks now, of delays, lack of assurance my claim was being attended to, left confused, lack of organisation and no sense of direction.

I am writing this still waiting for communication promised by my claim advisor, with a broken down ceiling, why now I need to pay access after I was informed there is no claim applicable.

Really disappointing.
