I was hospitalised from 05–11 January 2026 after suffering from severe diarrhoea for about a week, which resulted in dehydration and required hospital treatment. However, my claim was rejected on the basis that there was insufficient medical evidence and that the condition could have been treated as an outpatient. When I contacted the claims department to appeal, I was advised to submit either a motivational letter from my doctor explaining the diagnosis or the hospital file. I obtained a motivational letter confirming the diagnosis of gastritis and submitted my appeal on 22 February. After submission, I was informed that I must also provide the hospital file, which contradicts the initial guidance that only one of the documents was required. This back-and-forth process is frustrating and gives the impression that the claim is not being handled fairly.
