i want to withdraw from my fixed

I had a 3 Months fixed deposit with FNB which I only learnt today that it has reached its maturity and I wanted to make a withdrawal, but I cannot withdraw it simply because it has been automatically re-invested and no communication was sent to me, to tell me that has reached its maturity or ask weather I should re-invest. but now I see that there is a penalty for withdrawing or closing the account before 07 October 2015 which is very much unfair to me because communication should have been made with me in advance before the date or on that date. would someone please transfer all my money to my cheaque account or make it available for withdrawal because I need to use it .
