I'm trying too buy an asset I can afford!
I am very disappointed at the approach that FNB has toward granting of a Home Loan to me. I have been rehabilitated after having to undergo sequestration ten years ago. As per the Credit Act, notice of my rehabilitation has to show on my credit record, but my lawyer says that this may not negatively affect a supplier granting me credit. Since being rehabilitated, FNB has given me a credit card, an overdraft, and a revolving loan - with no security whatsoever. I am now in a position that I can purchase a property as an investment, and will easily be able to afford the repayment of this, as it is also going to be rented out. They are declining my loan on the grounds that I am rehabilitated. Surely the 10 years was \punishment"enough as I have been unable to rebuild my life for over a decade because of a fault my lawyer made in 2005 which caused me to have to go insolvent. Can somebody at FNB who has some authority and understanding at least look at my application as I will need to move all my accounts to another bank when they give me the homeloan. I can't seem to find anyone except the call centre staff who can't seem to understand."""
