I feel unfair treatment

My father passed away on the 1 March 2016,he was killed by his wife she burned him with hot cooking oil while he was sleeping and she was arrested, I was left to bury my father so obviously his wife being a beneficiary and arrested I had to go to the masters to get a letter of authority to bury him ,of which I obtained and I found out that he had a funeral policy with FNB bank and they refused to pay out the money saying they needed the beneficiary even though I had a letter from the investiga ting officer explaining the charge .till today they are taking me from pillar to post, I even got a letter from my lawyer explaining that the beneficiary is in jail ,my question is I can have a policy at FNB and kill my husband and came back and claim it they will still give it to me because I am a beneficiary? I am in debts now cause of I thought that I will pay with the money from FNB.I am very disappointed with FNB .
