I am very disappointed with the terrible customer service I have received from FNB

I reached out to FNB when lockdown started and asked if they could reduce my monthly credit card instalment as I have no income at the moment. I work in the beauty industry and I had to totally shut down my small business. The answer was just NO.

I app**** for the COVID Loan and was told I can only start repaying it in August. It sounded like a good idea at the time and I accepted the loan.

Lockdown got extended and I quickly realised that I cannot pay back a loan and my Credit card and this will all place me in a very bad financial situation later.

Mailed the COVID loans department the 2nd June and asked them to please take the Funds off my profile as I will not be able to pay it back later. (I have not used any of it) I received a message back "We would like to inform your request to cancel cannot be processed at this stage due to the application not being accepted" FNB!!! How can you not accept it. I am UNEMPLOYED and I CANNOT PAY BACK THE LOAN !!!!!!

I messages them again asking for it to be removed, but nobody even bothered to answer my mail.

2 weeks after that I went on to my secure chat on my Banking app. I AGAIN requested the funds to be taken off my profile and explained how I am battling with the poor service. The individual apologised and told me they will do the necessary. It was never done.

Called FNB last week Friday in the morning and sent a e-mail explaining again that they need to please do the necessary as I am unemployed and have ZERO income till I am not sure when. I also requested that a Manager call me.

Its now Monday late afternoon and STILL no call from FNB and the loan is STILL on my profile.

FNB... are you forcing me to take this loan? FNB.... would this not be considered reckless lending? FNB...what happened to your service I am so disappointed and cannot wait to move my account to another bank.

If this does not get sorted by close of business tomorrow afternoon, the Ombudsman will be my next step..... well, On Friday I also said this to the FNB employee and still no one bothered to get back to me.

I am trying to be responsible by NOT extending myself financially but I unfortunately have a bank that could not give a DAMN.
