How to port out from FNB Connect to other service providers.

This is the solution for porting your number out from FNB Connect to any other service provider. When your FNB Connect sim was on contract and you switched the contract to prepaid or the contract ended and you decide to move to another service provider, your sim needs to be prepaid first in order to port out. After the above is done, FNB Connect has a soft lock on your number/sim. NO PORTING WILL HAPPEN WITH THIS SOFT LOCK. Call FNB Connect to have this soft lock removed via their porting department. After the soft lock is disabled, porting can successfully happen.

This is my conclusion after struggling to port my number out from FNB Connect. I conclude that the soft lock FNB has on the number/sim prevents the porting process.
