How is the normal FNB service so much better than FNB Private wealth

To whom it may concern.

A few years back I was "upgraded" to FNB private wealth from the platinum account. I aways had great service from the platinum call centre and was happy with the service i received. Since being "upgraded" to private wealth not only have my bank charges tripled but I find the service that is provided is not of a high standard. Bankers are changed frequently, they take forever to deal with queries and to provide feedback and aren't that knowledgeable of FNB's own services and products. In the past month i have purchased 2 properties, the first application was done through private wealth which took around 3,5 weeks. The second i did through FNB home loans with Elizabeth Viljoen from FNB Homeloans who provided excellent service and had my AIP in around 24 hours and my bond grant in only a few days

The best part of this all is that FNB private wealth gave me a higher interest rate that FNB homeloans did.

I really dont see what the point is of banking with FNB private wealth because the service isnt great, "the preferential interest rates" are worse than what the average FNB client gets offered, i dont see where the value comes to me to justify bank fees that are triple what i used to pay. I have requested to move to RMB to try that out but wasnt allowed to even though i meet the qualifying criteria.

I have several friends who bank with private wealth and all seem to feel more less the same about FNB private wealth. Should consider moving to Investec or one of the other banks where private clients seem to be happy with the service.
