How can we ***** you over nevermind help you?

I refer to my recent homeloan application with FNB. I have been banking with them for more that 5years and have had a Private Banking account for more than two years. This service I believe is totally not worth it. It just leads to exorbitant monthly costs to the tune of R 385. Same functionality is offered on a Gold Account. Jointly we pay close to R500 in bank fees to FNB.

I app**** for the Home Loan which was declined due to an account which I have submitted proof of as has already been paid up. I even supp**** a full motivation to the Loan Consultant that informed that even if the records are updated that it will not affect the outcome. Everyone that I know, who doesn't even bank with FNB receive the best deals when they apply via a bond originator. As an FNB client I felt bull****ted out of a good investment. No official decline letters come through and the Home Loan Consultant (Jane Southee) and Private Banker (Ria Hamman) just simply goes cold on you. I have spoken to another consultant (Karabo), who is of the view that the original consultant may still lodge an appeal if I can prove the account is settled. The Consultant who made the application seems to think it will not make a difference.

In my motivation, I was honest and my record reflects good credit activity. I must now suffer due to how creditors display information on the Bureau of which I believe they use Compuscan.

At the moment, I feel like closing both our accounts and going to another Bank entirely. When dealing with this complaint I expect the Credit Manager who declined this application to contact me, failing which I will simply closed both accounts at FNB.
