How can we NOT help you?

1. 21 October – Received a call inviting me to upgrade to Private Clients which I telephoncially agreed to.

2. 23 October – I emailed her to ask her not to upgrade me

3. 13 December – I AM STILL BEING PENALISED FOR THIS 10 MINUTE PHONE CALL

To date:

1. It took us until 7 December to both receive our Private Clients credit card.

2. I had to make around 11 phone calls IN ONE AFTERNOON to get help with mkaing on online purchase and still no one helpded. I lost ebucks, 3.5 hours of billable work time, spent a fortune on phone calls; lost out on travel insurance and had to do an immediate transfer from our bond in an attempt to correct. The only thing corrected here has been the travel insurance which I thank you for arranging.

3. Despite numerous requests, the banking fees I incurred due to the above have not yet been reversed.

4. Despite numerous reassurances from my Private Banker that he would ensure that my eBucks would not be affected by the fact that I had to use my cheque account on forex, and that all would be corrected with the next allocation, IT IS NOT.

It amazes me that one phone call can put all of this in motion, with no signature required, yet it takes all of this time and energy, and signed papers to reverse?

This debacle has cost me in the region of R 6 000. Loss of income: 3.5 hours ;

Loss of eBucks based on conservative average earn of R 2 000 a month on level 5 = R 4 000

Loss of eBucks discounts on vouchers purchased at 30% instead of R 40% = R 100

And I have not taken into account the negative energy and time I have had to spent trying to rectify this, nor the phone calls.

If this is how FNB treat their Private Clients, I'm not sure how the rest of their clients are being treated currently.

Depsite taking this matter to the Banking Ombudsman in December, and your automated response above, THIS MATTER HAS STILL NOT BEEN RESOLVED. Am not sure what else to do to actually get a personalised response and resolution.
