How can we not help you
I ordered a credit card. Got the credit card, my surname is misspelled, and they have the wrong address (one I never gave them, and haven't been living at for six years). I also cannot see the pin on the paper. I phone them, they can't help me, and I have to go to the Ventersdorp branch, here I met the most *********** person in a managerial position. To thus far she has been one of my biggest frustrations. Nevertheless, they eventually update my details, and promise me that a new card will be sent to me. Almost a week later, I start wondering how I have not received any further communication.Have them Phone me back, only to find out that no new card was ordered. At the call centre, I get passed around like a plate of chips at a braai, at least they're trying to help. Order the card. Got the card Monday 21 Oct. I wasn't at work, so I got it yesterday (22 Oct). Lunch time, I go to the ATM to activate the card. I don't have online banking, as I have not previously been a client of FNB. I have not even finished typing in the pin, when the ATM spits the card out "CARD DEACTIVATED PIN RETRIES EXCEEDED". Try to phone them when I get home, my call never gets answered before I need to return to work. I go again after work, hoping that it might work, but knowing if it doesn't then at least I've got the slip and can show it to them at the bank. Went there this morning, they need the envelope. So, originally, I got the envelope, memorized the pin, and left it at home. It honestly feels *****ic to walk around with a credit card WITH its pin readily available. I asked het if they can at least then cancel it. "No, you need to write a letter, that's why I'm saying if you bring us the envelope we can try and see what is wrong with that card." Again the extremely *********** manager at Ventersdorp FNB, so I have no idea why I was surprised that they could again not help. Now, it should come as no surprise that I now longer want to be a FNB client. If they can have the thing activated, and usable, withou me having to set foot at the branch that would be great. If not they can cancel it. To me it obvious that no money should be deducted from my saving account, as I have had absolutely no use of this silly card. I do not think they'll see my "obviously" the same way I do.
