How can we mess you

"HOW CAN WE HELP YOU... "

In early February 2019 I noticed that my FNB youth account had been changed to a private client account, with out my consent, and I was promptly charged by FNB the corresponding banking fees, which for context is 13.5 times my usual fee, so I was charged R385 plus an additional R55 in charges.

After receiving an SMS from FNB, stating that they had technical issues on their side and I wasn't the only person affected, I went into the Rosebank branch to see how progress was going. I was helped by an amazing and patient assistant who told me she would pass this on to their relevant department because they couldn't authorise anything ther but could go through the process of rectifying the situation internally. I left annoyed but Optimistic.

I received a call from my private banker during mid February 2019 who assured me that this mess would finally be sorted out, but another system error resulted into my account getting changed to a Gold account and I was promptly charged another R89.83 .

My private banker broke the bad news to me that their Refund Department could only get to refunding me my fees by March 2019 and she was sorry about the error because I could not be downgraded from a Private Clients account to a Student Youth account directly.

Its now the end of February and I have finally been downgraded to my youth account, I didn't get a call from my private banker or FNB, just another notification stating that my monthly banking fee had been taken off my account for R28.00. So for all you kids playing at home FNB owes me R557.83 in fees. FNB get your **** together. If you really care about your clients go the extra mile to fix your mess and FNB just buy them dinner before you f@#k them.
