"How can we help you?" How indeed....
I did not want to do this here, but it seems to be the only way I can get reasonable assistance. I have been a client of FNB for 12 years. After a year of unemployment I have finally received my first income after my first month of having a job. I let them pay my salary into my FNB account so that I can begin paying back on my credit card, overdraft and other creditors. (I have been living off charity after all for this last year and facilitating collection calls throughout the day, every day!) And FNB decided to take ALL of my salary and still leave me in a negative balance for my overdraft. Please note, I had called in advance to make a payment arrangement on my credit card which I now cannot meet among MANY other arrangements i had made. I am a single parent during this pandemic and had no intention of running from my debts and yet FNB thinks it is perfectly reasonable to take food out of someone's mouth. The cherry on this wonderful cluster**** of a cake is that when I called their call centers on Saturday morning, I struggled for over an hour just to get to the right place ONLY to be sent on a loop of "verification" which wasn't working (JUST like the APP they keep wanting us to confirm ourselves on) until 1pm so their lovely consultants could knock off. Their call centers are a JOKE. The app is also a joke and I have spent hours worth of time on TRYING to get help and still have NO help or answers. The one time I did get through I was told I need to go into the branch..... Again I have been employed ONE month and I must already take off a day to deal with this. The reason I have posted here is because it seems this is the only way to get FNB to assist you. All those numbers/channels to "help you". FNB, your channels are not effective, stop making us go on your app that does not work and please stop making us call you and spend hours talking to your robot only to be cut off. Please help your customers!!!!
