How Can we Help you? - Help you get Over-indebted?? EASY AS ****!

On 17 May 2016 I have phoned the Credit Card division where I have requested my Debit Order Date to be changed to the 20th of each month. Commencing from 20 June as my Salary date is changing to the 15th of each month. I am working for an international company and the payments sometimes takes a few days to clear. I made it clear that until 15 June no funds will enter my account as I will only be paid by then.

The *********** lady from FNB advised that she can unfortunately not stop my debit order that is supposed to go off on 01 June 2016. ( Although the request was made 15 Days in Advance )

I explained that I really have no means of paying the debit order and it will be rejecting if submitted for 01 June 2016 that is why I phoned them to make arrangements. I asked her to make a note as this will be the first time in my life a debit order is to be rejecting on my account.

On 21 May 2016 an unauthorised debit order was submitted leaving my account in excess . On Monday 22 May 2016 I personally visited a branch to have the matter resolved as I have repeatedly advised that no additonal funds will be added to my account until 15 June 2016. The consultant then phoned the credit card division where we have been transferred numerously and cut off. Eventually after the consultant requested to speak to a Supervisor we reached yet another consultant where it was made out that it will be investigated but that it's the way the system works. They will investigate and get back to me........

The consultant at branch level then assisted to log a complaint (926569)on Monday 22/05/2016 at an FNB Branch where I spent a lot of time. (Time is money).

After receiving 2 calls on Monday I have not heard anything from the useless Credit Card department as they can hide behind statements such as System limitations... and promises like listening to their useless recorded phone calls where they are apparently not informing clients of their SYSTEM rules just to mess up Good payers credit records so that FNB can now excuse themselves take 2 payments per month on an account that is up to date for the client daring to request a simple debit order to be moved to a different date. I have clearly advised of my expectations of not paying a fee for the unpaid unauthorised D/O for 21/05 and that no D/O is attempted on my Cheque Account until 20/06 where interest may be added if the payment is received a few days later than normal as I understand the priciple of daily -interest outstanding.

Today is 26 May 2016 and I am receiving SMS 's to make payment on an overdrawn cheque account - Which they themselves had overdrawn without ANY authorisation for a CREDIT CARD that is UP TO DATE.....

Seeing the lack of Service I have received to date from both sides - Credit Card and Debit Card section- Staff not taking responsibility for their mess my next step will be to lay a formal complaint with the Onbudsman and move to a competent bank who can Help me - unlike the FNB team who's slogan is How Can we Help you?

Help you get Over-indebted ??

I will also lay a complaint on Friday after 12:00 to the Natonal Credit Regulator as they are over-indebting their clients when they have been informed that certain actions will cause exactly this. I am sure this will help them on their collections process to now get their money from me, seeing that they cannot keep to their agreements in an honest transparent way.

Chantel Breedt

***
