"How Can We Help You" -As long as you are PAYING THEM!!

On the 27th Nov 2018, Avis took R1450 off my credit card, without consulting me for damages which were there before I rented the car. This caused me to run into arrears with regards to my credit card re-payments for FNB.

I contacted FNB (who you think would back you up seeings as they are YOUR bank and its YOUR money); they said that there was nothing they could do (even though this was done ********ly); but that I had to sort it out with Avis.

After 2 months of fighting with them, the money was finally put back into my account. This then caused me to fall behind with my credit card payments.

I then ended up having to carry the short-fall from my cheque account. Once the money had been put back onto my credit card, I then paid the difference between the Avis deposit and what I owed FNB onto my credit card, so that I would now be up to date.

FNB contacted me a couple of days ago and is saying that they don't recognize a deposit from a 3rd party (even thought the 3rd party is the reason I am in this situation), and that I still owe the Avis amount. And they have now blocked my credit card.

They are calling it a "voucher".

I am very disappointed. My whole family is part of FNB, which traces back to my grandfather being an FNB branch manger.

Well I guess its time to change banks!!!
